We deliver
Hardwood beams in the height of the fence you order. Is your fence 2 m1 high, then you will receive the beams in the size 4.0 x 6.0 cm, and in the height of the ordered fence. You screw these beams to the existing wooden fence, vertically. The slats are screwed to these beams at a distance of 1.00 to 1.20 m1 at the most. A refit fence is always covered on one side with slats of 5.0 - 7.0 or 9.0 cm wide.

We supply enough hardwood slats in 5.0 - 7.0 cm or 9.0 cm + enough uprights, mounting clips and screws to make the modern REFIT fence.

TIP

Or add epdm fence cloth to your order, so you do not have to paint, this cloth also gives absolute pivacy and soundproofing. And don't forget to oil? Per 2,3 litre you can fully oil approx. 10 m1 single sided fence. Repeat this twice a year. This keeps the fence in the original wood colour, and the wood does not absorb any dirt. You also extend the life span. If you do not oil the fence, it will gradually turn mouse-grey after about 6 months. Once the wood has turned grey, it cannot be restored to its original colour.

Invisible screws
By using mounting clips, you get an invisible screw end result. In each slat, longitudinal grooves have been made so that clip mounting is possible. The clip is also the distance holder between the slats. The distance between the slats is approx. 5 mm. Quick installation is guaranteed by the mounting clip. The clip is screwed between the planks.

Order
You can order per meter length (m1) of fence. For example; do you need 8 length meters of fence? Choose the desired height, and then click until the number is 8. 

In a natural product an optical defect can occur. Wood lives, and no two boards are the same, which is the charm of all wood products. Sometimes an unassembled board can be slightly warped by the effects of sun and water, and not everyone is equally skilful at assembling it straight. Usually there is some sawing loss. We therefore recommend always ordering an extra 1 metre of fence, to avoid a back order and extra costs.

Always store the wood that you have not yet processed, covered and bound together, in a dry place. Also during assembly, never place unassembled wood in the sun. Ipe wood is very stable wood, durable and strong. All our hardwood products have a long service life. Ipe wood has a service life of at least 20 years or more.

Plank lengths
We deliver at least 1 or more lengths of fence planks, most common lengths are 1.20 - 1.50 - 1.80, the length that will be delivered depends on the available stock. We always deliver 1 with a maximum of 3 lengths. The uprights must always be placed at most 1.00 m1 apart. Placing the posts in a random manner gives the best result, which is what our wood supply is based on. All boards have tong and groove on the end of the board. To click to each other. Installing the modern fence
The uprights (the fence posts) must first be mounted on the old fence, the slats always have a tongue and groove at the ends of the planks, simply click the planks together. It is therefore not necessary to fit the boards exactly to the uprights. At every transition of the planks, mount 1 cobra clip on both sides of the plank, so that the ends of the plank are locked up, so that the effect is minimal. This is very important. 

Please watch our installation video for the correct (clip) installation. The mounting clip gives a spacing of about 5 mm, our wood delivery is also based on this. We deliver enough fence boards, posts + clips and screws to make the modern fence.

IPE hardwood
IPE decking wood, terrace wood, beams or joists? We sell it all. IPE wood is the best choice of wood. There is no better hardwood than IPE. This hardwood has a long life, 30 years or more. Ipe is a very stable hardwood, and therefore suitable for all conceivable applications. Ipe is the best wood. That is why we have an extra wide range of this hardwood species. Ipe is brown and light brown in colour, has an even structure and a fine grain. This wood is wear-resistant, strong and will not work.

Point of attention
Screw the beams vertically to the existing fence. By drilling diagonally into the side of the beam or using an angle bracket. We do not supply any fastening material for this purpose. A REFIT is different for each situation, so take care of any metal corners or screws to attach the posts to your existing fence.

And watch our assembly video. You can always choose to saw off a piece of the top of the beam. Pre-drilling is not necessary when mounting the fence planks. We deliver the self drilling screws and Cobra mounting clips for free, these have enough power to keep the wood firmly in place.

Important for the assembly
If you don't exactly end up with the end of the board on a stand, that's no problem. It is important to place an extra cobra clip at each transition/end of the board (both at the top and the bottom) despite the fact that the clip cannot be screwed onto a stand. This ensures that every board is properly clamped, and that the effect is minimal. 

There are always leftover parts during assembly, the sawn-off parts. These should be reused. We supply enough wood to make the meters ordered. The most beautiful and sturdiest result is wild-cornered assembly, as shown in the photos, and our timber delivery is based on this. 

You always start with the bottom slat. Mount the first row of slats one after the other. Place a clip at each transition of the slats and a mounting clip at each upright. Stack the next row of slats on top of this. You need to reuse the sawn off parts. Repeat the process until you have reached the total height. The top slat is screwed to an upright by screwing a screw obliquely into the groove of the board. In this way the top slat is fixed at the bottom with a mounting clip and at the top with a screw, and invisibly mounted. Before screwing, pre-drill the board. 

When your project is finished, simply sand the strips lightly for an even more beautiful result. Do not forget to oil? Because then the fence stays in the beautiful wood colour. If you do not use oil, the fence will turn grey over time.
