We supply beams for every slat wall
Enough hardwood beams to make your frame. And enough hardwood slats for horizontal mounting in the size 4.0 x 4.0 cm, and of course enough screws + uprights + privacy screen, to mount your modern wall. 
A wall can be mounted on an existing brick wall, for example, or on an existing fence. But usually these modern walls are placed inside a roof. With a wall you get extra beams to make a frame on which you can mount the horizontal slats, contrary to a fence, where you mount the slats on a pole.

1-side wood means that the lamellae are mounted on 1 side of the frame you make yourself. With a 2-sided wall both sides are covered with wooden slats. For both a 1-side and a 2-side wooden wall we supply enough screws + wooden slats to make your project in its entirety. 

For each m2 of wall, 17 length meters of 4.0 x 4.0 beams are needed, whereby 1 m1 of length 4.0 x 4.0 beams are delivered to make the frame. In total, 18 m1 of beams are supplied per m2 , for a single-sided wall. For a double-sided wall, 35 m1 of lengths are supplied. Most common lengths of the beams are 2.45 m1 or longer.

Do not forget to oil the wood? Per 2,7 litre you can completely oil 10 m2 of wall on one side. Repeat this twice a year. This keeps the fence in the original wood colour, and the wood does not absorb any dirt. You also extend the life span. If you do not oil the wall, it will gradually become mouse-grey after approximately 6 months. Once the wood has turned grey, it cannot be restored to its original colour.

Frame for this modern slat wall
The frame is also made from the 4.0 x 4.0 slat wall beams. Always place a vertical beam every 1 meter, on the frame you don't want to put the privacy screen, and on top of that you mount the slats horizontally. Our timber delivery is based on a distance between the bars of 2 cm, and that a frame is made with a maximum distance between the uprights of 1 m1. The uprights/frame are also made with the 4.0 x 4.0 beams.

Visible screws
The wall is screwed visibly. Or invisibly, provided you have space at the back of the wall to screw blindly from behind. Always screw the screws (size 5.0 mm x 6.0 cm) deep into the joists, thereby achieving an almost screwless result. You need to saw the hardwood beams to length yourself, because every modern beam wall is made to measure. When your project is finished, simply sand the beams lightly for an even more beautiful result. Do not forget to oil?

Order
You can order per square (m2) metre of wall. For example, for 8 m2 of wall, click on the + until the number 8 is reached. You can choose a single or double sided lamellar (beam) wall. We assume that you will leave 2 cm space between the beams because that is what our wood delivery is based on. We supply enough slats (beams), posts, privacy cloth and screws to make the modern slat wall. A stand should be placed every 1 metre and the 4.0 x 4.0 slats should be screwed to the stand. The frame should also be made from 4.0 x 4.0 cm.

An optical defect can occur in a natural product. Wood lives, and no two boards are the same, which is precisely the charm of all wood products. Sometimes an unmounted board can be slightly warped by the effects of sun and water, and not everyone is equally skilful at fitting it straight. Usually there is some sawing loss. We therefore recommend that you always order an extra 1 m2 of wall, in order to avoid a back order and extra costs.

Always store the wood that you have not yet processed, covered and bound together, in a indoor dry place. Also during assembly, never place unassembled wood in the sun. Ipe wood is very stable wood, durable and strong. All our hardwood products have a long service life. Ipe wood has a service life of at least 20 years or more.

Laminated beams
We supply at least 1 or more lengths, most common lengths are 2.20 m1 or longer. The length that is delivered depends on the available stock. With these lengths, the uprights are always placed about 80 cm - 1.00 apart. The rest pieces should be reused. The uprights are completely covered by the horizontal slats. Always install from bottom to top. Don't forget to check each row of slats with a spirit level. The spacing is 2 cm.

Mounting the modern fence 
First measure the length of the slats. The end of each slat must be positioned at the centre of the upright. The length of the received slats also determines where the closing post will be placed.

Distribute the remaining posts evenly between the placed uprights, with a maximum distance between them of approx. 80 cm - 1 m1. Fit the first bottom row of beams/laths to the upright, from left to right, and the second row the other way round, from right to left. Repeat this process until you are finished. There is one screw per slat in an upright. The rest pieces, the sawn off parts are reused, that's what the wood delivery is based on. 

Depending on the available stock, we deliver one or more lengths. The beams are made of Ipe hardwood, and are planed with rounded corners. The end of the beam has to end in the middle of the upright. Pre-drilling is not necessary, the screws supplied have a drilling point. Pre-drilling is only advisable at the end of each beam, as this prevents the beams from tearing.

For example, you order 6 m1 long wall. We deliver slats in lengths of 3.30 m1. Start by placing the first initial frame post. Then place a slat on the ground and determine where the closing post should be placed. In this example, this post will be placed at a distance of 3.30 m1 . Place the second upright, again place a batten on the ground and determine the distance based on the length of the batten. This 3rd upright will be positioned at 6.00m1 and not at 6.60m1 (after all, in this example the wall is 6 m1 long and not 6.60 m1). Position post no. 4 at a distance of 60 cm from post no. 1. Also place a post 60 cm from the end post.
