This fence is completely closed, so no see-through is possible. With a single-sided fence, the back side is flat. From the back, you see the posts/poles and a wall of flat wood. With a double-sided fence, you have the wooden slats mounted on both sides and you can no longer see the posts from the back. The wood completely covers the posts.

We always supply Tripple slats in long lengths
With us, we usually supply timber in one length, with the most common lengths being 2.50 metres or longer. Our boards have a tongue and groove on the long sides, which ensures a seamless and stable connection. There is no need for the ends of the boards to meet exactly on a horzontal beam. The specific length of timber supplied depends on the stock available at the time.

When mounting the vertical Ipe planks, the uprights will be completely covered. It is important to check each vertical row of slats using a spirit level. If necessary, you can correct any misalignment by not fully snapping the planks together, achieving some degree of correction. Remember to perform this step for an accurate and straightforward installation.

What all do you get supplied?
We have plenty of 3.00-metre-long hardwood fence posts in stock to supply with this fence. We also supply ample quantities of hardwood fence planks (slats) with a size of (slat fence size 2.1 x 14.0 cm). Enough screws + planks to mount the modern tripple slats/boards VERTIALLY.

With a single-sided fence, the boards are attached to one side of the posts, while with a double-sided fence both sides are covered with wooden boards. Whether you opt for a single-sided or double-sided wooden fence we ensure that enough posts, screws and wood are supplied to realise your garden project.

All boards have a tongue and groove on the long side, making them easy to stack and slide together for a fully enclosed fence. Thanks to the special triple profile, it looks as if several beams have been mounted, when in reality it is a single plank 14.0 cm wide into which three beams have been milled. This gives the fence a completely closed look and no one can see through it.

Long lengths
You usually receive longer lengths of boards than the height of your fence. For example, your ordered fence is 2 m1 high. Then you may receive lengths of 2.45 cm. First saw off a board at 2 m1 and mount it vertically. You mount the sawn-off 45 cm section as the next vertical board, and on top of that you saw a board of 155 cm, giving a total height of 2.00 m1. The next board is a full length, board number 3 is shorter and you stack one or more lengths on top of each other.

Posts for this modern tripple fence
We supply the 1.80 m1 and 2.05 m1 high fence with 6.0 x 6.0 - 3.00 m1 posts as standard. You place the posts (depending on the length of the beams you receive) at 1 with a maximum of 1.50 m1 apart.

We will state the distance on the waybill upon delivery.

Mounting your vertical fence
First place the uprights in the ground at about 1/3 of their length, in a line. By stretching a cord you can determine in a straight line where you will place the fence. Mount the intermediate beams in size 4.0 x 6.0 cm horizontally between the posts by screwing a screw diagonally into the horizontal beam and then by screwing into the post. You need to mount 3 horizontal beams between the posts. 1 beam at the top and 1 at the bottom of the fence, and the last intermediate bar in the middle.  For each slat you mount vertically, screw the board onto the 3 pre-mounted horizontal beams. Always with 2 screws next to each other. Total are 6 screws that you screw into the wood per slat.

During assembly there are always leftover pieces, the sawn-off parts. These should be reused, this is what the timber delivery is based on.

Screws
By using tongue and groove, the boards are pushed together vertically. You use the small screws supplied to screw the slats to the beams. Pre-drilling is not necessary. The self-drilling screws do this for you; they have enough power to hold the wood firmly in place.

Ordering
You can order per whole length (m1) of fence. For example, if you want an 8 m1 long fence, click on the + until it reaches number 8. Choose between a single or double-sided modern fence. This fence is completely closed, so no see-through is possible. At the back, the planks are flat, so it also gives a nice modern result. 

An optical defect can occur in a natural product. Wood lives, and no two planks are the same, which is the charm of all wood products. Sometimes, unassembled boards can be slightly warped by influences of sun and water, and not everyone is equally adept at assembling them straight. Usually there is a slight sawing loss. We therefore advise you to always order 1 extra metre of fence, to avoid a back order and extra costs. 

Always store unassembled timber in a dry place. Also during assembly, never lay unassembled wood in the sun. Ipe wood is very stable wood, durable and strong. All our hardwood products have a long service life. Ipe wood has a lifespan of at least 20 years or more.

What do you get?

Installation of the posts and intermediate beams
We supply a post/post of 6.0 x 6.0 cm 3.00 m1 length. A fence post must be buried in the ground for about 1/3 of its length. After installation, simply saw off a piece of the post, at the top. The post spacing is between 1.00 and 150 cm. We specify the spacing of the posts on the delivery note. Enough posts and boards and screws are supplied to make your fence.

We recommend setting the top of the post a few cm higher than the desired height of your fence. After installing the slats, saw off the top of the post to ensure that you can screw the highest slat properly too.

You can choose to reinforce the posts with concrete in the ground. We recommend doing this only if there is a lot of wind. Usually, posts are buried by digging a hole, placing the post and filling the hole with sand. Then it is important to let the loosened sand settle by spraying water on it. This will compact the sand bed and make the post more stable in the ground. You can also use an auger to place the post in the ground; with this method too, it is wise to spray the sand well with water afterwards. 

Mount the intermediate beams in size 4.0 x 6.0 cm horizontally between the posts, by screwing a screw diagonally into the horizontal beam and then through into the post. You need to mount 3 horizontal beams between the posts. 1 beam at the top and 1 at the bottom of the fence, the last intermediate beam in the middle.

This way, you create a framework of 3 horizontal beams between the posts on which the vertical slats are easily screwed.

Don't forget to oil the fence? 
Order Per 2.7 litres, then you can completely oil approx 10 m1 of fence on one side. We advise you to repeat this 2 to 3 times a year. This keeps the fence in its original wood colour and prevents the wood from picking up dirt. You also extend the lifespan. If you do not apply oil, the fence will gradually turn grey after about 6 months. Once wood has turned grey you can only restore the colour by buying an anti-greying product from us, this will give you extra work.
