Agent for the degreasing of ipe wood
This product is kind to the environment. Use this to bring back wood-grey to natural colour. You may need to repeat the process, depending on the intensity of the greyed wood. 

It is a wood cleaning product that can be used for both regular maintenance and the removal of stubborn stains and weathering. Allow the cleaning product to work in for a few minutes without allowing the product to dry. Remove the soiling further, if necessary with a scrubbing brush. Rinse with plenty of clean water. Repeat the treatment if necessary.

After the graying you need to oil the wood. The wood must always be dry, so do not oil damp boards. Also, it must remain dry for 24 hours so that the oil can be absorbed into the wood. It is best to treat the wood with oil twice within a week.

Advantages of oiling
By oiling the wood, the wood keeps its warm natural look. If you do not oil the hardwood, after approx. 5 months, it will slowly become light grey in colour. IPE hardwood is naturally durable and does not need oil to last longer. However, oil provides a water repellent effect, so that dirt and algae formation is less prevalent.

Order
You can order per starter kit or per litre of oil.  A starter kit contains 1 L wood degreaser + spray bottle. With this, approx. 15 m2 can be degreased.

Important before oiling
We recommend lightly sanding the wood with a machine or by hand, so that the wood becomes slightly smoother and the end result is more beautiful. By sanding you can also remove a stain or wax, which can occur on the wood. Only oil hardwood when it is not moist, so a dry surface is important. Easy to rub out with a cloth. Post polishing of the wood is not necessary. It is best to repeat the process twice, especially the first time it is important that the hardwood is well saturated, thick application is best. The easiest time to oil is when the weather is sunny, then the oil flows better, but this is not necessary. Do not forget to oil the sides of the planks.

Maintenance
In spring and autumn, repeat the oiling process, so that the wood does not turn grey. Attention, wood that has turned grey can no longer be de-greased. Especially around the sun side of the fence you will have to oil the Woodstain more often than the shadow side. Our advice is to oil the modern Ipe fence at least 2x a year.

Application
Apply the oil with the spray bottle and spread the oil evenly over the boards with a cloth. Do not forget to oil the sides of the boards. Apply a relatively large amount of oil, especially on the first and second occasion, so that the wood is saturated. Tip: Apply the oil in the sun; the oil flows out easily due to the heat of the sun.
