Keep your tree trunk table well maintained by treating the table every 3 months with wax or oil (in case you use the table outdoors as tree trunk garden table). Be careful with the cleaning products you use because often they are too aggressive. It is best to use water and soap, make sure it isn't alkaline soap. Make the table dust-free with an oiled cloth. Be careful with heat sources, these may cause permanent damage.

It is best to paint indoor tables, such as tree trunk dining tables, with parquet varnish. All of our finished tables are already varnished for you. It keeps the table nice and flat and doesn't attract dust. Also traces of usage are easy to clean.

Wich is better: a tree trunk table top with 4 cm or 8 cm thickness?

The thicker the table top, the more stable it remains. Furthermore, a table top of 8 cm looks fuller, but that is of course according to your own taste. The price of a 4 cm thick table top is always cheaper than one of 8 cm, Wich is logical since a 8 cm table top is twice as thick as a 4 cm hardwood table top.

Do I choose a hardwood or oak tree trunk table? 

An Oak tree trunk table has a lower weight and has a more rustic character than a Hardwood tree trunk table. Hardwood has a finer grain and is therefore easier to flatten. Oak is hard but not as hard as Hardwood. This makes Hardwood more hard-wearing and more vandal-proof. That's also why a Hardwood table lasts longer than an Oak table. Oak table tops may have a maximum thickness of 5 cm, otherwise the wood becomes unstable and twisted. For Hardwood, the maximum thickness can reach up to 15 cm. Oak is cheaper than Hardwood which translates into the price. Our conclusion is that both types are beautiful and they both have their own advantages. Your personal taste will be decisive.

What if your size is not included?

No problem. We can make every table smaller without charge. Just order your preferred tree trunk table, send us an email with your order number, and tell us which size you would like to have, we do the rest. It's as simple as that.

No tree trunk is the same so every table top will be unique. If requested, we can seal a natural crack in the table top, completely free of charge. But you can also choose to not change anything about the tree trunk table top.

Just order the tree trunk table top online and send us an email with your preferences, then we do the rest free of charge. A tear or crack in the table does not affect the solidity of the table top, Hardwood and Oak are so strong that even multiple cracks won’t affect the quality. Hardwood tables from the brand Huefter are indeed vandal-proof.

What types of wood do we sell for our tree trunk tables?

We sell the wood types Pedra, Tatajuba and Jatoba for tree trunk table tops. These are all wood types from South America. These wood types are very stable, sustainable and suitable for indoor use. Not every type of Hardwood is suitable to turn into a tree trunk table. All of the wood for tables is dried and stress-free. We select on arrival which table tops we'd like to have so that we only sell the best tree trunk tables. We do not sell Teak tree trunk tables, they have a much lower quality than Hardwood tree trunk tables.

With or without varnish?

Varnish is a type of lacquer which we have in a matte variant. This protects the wood from scratches, moisture and dirt. Since the varnish hardly changes the colour of the table, the natural charm of the wood remains intact and maintains its character. We always apply multiple coats of varnish, depending on the table up to 4 separate coats, to give the wood a good layer of protection.

With or without metal frame?

A tree trunk table is heavy and not every frame can support this weight. By using our metal frames, the tree trunk table top will get more stability and will move less, however this is not completely preventable. A crack or slight movement in wood is always possible, which is also the charm of wood. We have various models and colours of frames available.

Various models or types

We also sell small sizes of tree trunk table tops. For example, they can be used as coffee tables, side tables or bathroom tables. These tables are great for DIY, you can make almost anything out of wood.

We have table tops up to 6m1 available in stock, but always with 8 cm thickness. Thinner table tops with this length can't support the span and will deflect. That's why we choose the thicker table tops of 8 cm for long tables. A set of 2 frames is sufficient for a 6m1 length, the table won't deflect.

Every month a new stock of Hardwood tree trunk tables is delivered. Not all the tables will be placed online. The thickness of the tree trunk tables vary between tree trunk tables 3-6 cm and tree trunk tables 8 cm thick.  We also sell other products as steel doors or hardwood decking. 

Delivery and delivery time

Our transporter delivers the table or table top with a mobile forklift, as far as the forklift can go. We do not have the possibility to install the table in your home. All of the models on our website are also in stock. Varnishing the hardwood table tops takes time so we need a few extra days before we can deliver. Often we already deliver within 3 or 4 business days, however a later moment is of course also possible. You can easily select your preferred delivery date in the shopping cart.
