IPE hardwood decking
Ipe decking wood, terrace wood, Ipe wood is the best choice of wood. There is no better hardwood than Ipe. This hardwood has a long life, 25 years or more. Ipe is a very stable hardwood, and therefore suitable for all conceivable applications. Ipe is the best wood. That is why we have an extra wide range of this hardwood species. 

Ipe is brown, with an even structure and a fine grain. This wood is wear-resistant, strong and will hardly work. If that is what you want then Ipe is something to choose.

Price per m2 (square metre)
We sell this product per m2. Please choose your length and fill in the m2 you need, and we will deliver enough decking boards + free self-spacing connector clips and screws to make your project. Because of the tongue and groove at the ends of the board, you don't have to end up exactly on a lower beam. The tongue and groove is strong enough to prevent bending. Installation is just as easy as laying laminate. Saw the last plank in a row to length, if it has a minimum length of 45 cm you can start the next row with this part. 

Processing + wood click system
Each board is easy to lay lengthwise. Every floor board has a so-called tongue or groove at the end of the board, we call this the wood click system. Therefore each board easily clicks into the next one. With little experience this product is easy to install. This system is comparable to laying laminate, it is that simple. The ends of the plank do not have to end up exactly on a support beam. The click system is strong enough to prevent bending between the lower beams. During assembly, there are always leftover pieces, the sawn-off parts. If they have a minimum length of 45 cm and the floor board can be fastened to at least 2 lower beams, they can be used. We supply enough wood to make the square metres ordered. The best result is wild-cornered installation, as shown in the photos.

Do not forget to clamp the boards at the end. If the boards can move, especially lengthwise, there is always the risk that the click system is torn apart. You can prevent this by screwing several screws obliquely into the groove at the end. This keeps the boards firmly in place. Or fit an edging around the decking. Of course you can also use a concrete edge or wall as an edging. The decking should be well clamped on 4 sides to prevent the natural deformation of the floor boards.

Benefits of the deck fasteners
The deckfasteners ore mounting clips are slid into the side of the decking board, "into the groove". The mounting clips are mounted under the surface of the decking on the sub-structure. Therefore no screws are visible. The clips are also the spacers between the boards. The use of mounting clips creates a spacing of approximately 5 mm. it's a self-spacing connector clip. This provides great mounting convenience. By using these mounting clips, a lot of time is gained and a hardwood decking is mounted quicker and easier.

In case of a traditional decking board which does not have a recess for a mounting clip, screws are screwed right through the board and a countersink has to be drilled. This way the head of the screw is visible on the surface of the floor board, by using the mounting clip no screws are visible. The clips and screws are made of stainless steel metal, and black coated, so they will not rust or oxidise with the hardwood, this gives an even more beautiful end result.

The laying of the decking boards is best done in so-called wild correlation mounting. See the photos for a good illustration of the end result. We recommend always ordering approximately 10% more wood, as there is always some sawing loss.

Hardwood foundation + foundation piles
In order to install a hardwood decking, hardwood support beams and, if necessary, foundation piles are required for a good foundation under the decking. We recommend spacing the lower beams at 45 cm. The foundation piles are screwed to the lower beams. We recommend using 3 hardwood foundation piles for every square metre of decking. The foundation posts ensure that the entire decking does not subside.
